Northern Lights Film Production is specialized in documentary features for television as well as corporate and promotional image production. Northern Lights creates films about nature, wildlife, indigenous people and environmental aspects as well as television commercials and promotional videos and is regarded as one of Canada’s leading production houses for high end snow sport image creation.

Both German national television stations ZDF and ARD are our partners, we have worked with the CBC, the CTV, TSN, Outdoor Life Network, the French national television station ARTE,  Channel 7

of Australia and others. Five million viewers enjoyed our documentaries for the popular German travel show Reiselust each week which took our production team to some of the most exotic places on the planet. 

We work with a small team of professionals which makes us very effective. Writing & scripting, audio and video post and music editing are all done in house on a quick turn around basis.

We capture images on celluloid (using 16 mm and 35 mm Arriflex) and various linear and non linear video formats such as Betacam SP, DVCAM, HDV and full size HD. Our editing facility is located in Vernon in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and we incorporate some of the most advanced online, real time editing and effects tools available today.
